Use your resources wisely, do your testing at the future of solids control in Cubility’s TestCenter

Cubility is offering full scale fluid and solids control testing at our TestCenter in Sandnes. The hearts of the testcenter are two fully instrumented test cabins and a control room with effective communication system for remote control if required.  The testcenter has a unique setup testing drilling fluid and equipment related to this segment. The mud can be mixed with any type of solids and cuttings for to measure filtering efficiency.  It handles all ordinary drilling fluid including format mud and can be fitted with any type of shaker and sensors.
The center has a modern workshop and personnel with extensive mechanical competency solving most needs.  It also contains  offices and meeting room with internet access and printing service. You can perform basic fluid analysis at our modern mud lab, set up various test equipment in the technical rooms and store equipment and material required for testing on the warehouse.  
We can assist with accommodation, office facilities, shipping services, mud handling, temporary storage of mud and other services during the tests.

 

 

Utilities and Capacities:

MUD:

The center can if required, simultaneously store up to 20m³ of three different mud types.  All pits are equipped with agitators and the mud loops system has the capability to circulate mud up to 75C°.

PUMPS:

Equipped with four effective mud transfer pumps with maximum capacity of 5800 lpm.
The two PVT400 vacuum pumps connected to a vacuum tank gives a total capacity of 84,000 lpm .

PIPE SYSTEM:

All valves are pneumatic operated and connected to an advanced control system. Possible to run two different mud qualities simultaneously in various configurations.

CONTROLSYSTEM:

All parts of the mud loop like flow lines and mud pits are monitored and controlled from the Main Control Room. Most parameters can be selected for variable configurations like directions of mudflow,  flow- and pump rate, volume of cuttings and mud parameters as viscosity, mud weight,  temperature and density.
All test cells and technical area are also equipped with CCTV.

HVAC:

One of the test cells are fitted with offshore standard HVAC, with a capacity up to 12000 m³/pr.h.
